Adding to your insulation

Here’s an energy efficiency story from one of our members, Don

I have made our old weatherboard house with concrete tiles easier to cool in summer by placing reflective concertinaed foil coated cardboard insulation on top of the fibreglass batts. I also love the ‘outside air’ mode in our evaporative cooler, which on nights after hot days when the outside air temperature drops silently pushes refreshing cool air through the house, drawing negligible power.
