Guidance for Impact Campaign applications
There is a total of $42,500 available for Impact Campaigns in the 2024-2025 CoPower democratic budget. Application open 17 May and close 5pm AEST Monday 10 June. To help people submit their projects, we have created a set of criteria to guide them:
- Each project can ask for a maximum of $10,000.
- Your organization must be democratically organized, run not-for-profit and demonstrate that the cooperative’s customer members are active members or activists, either in your organization or on this project.
- The project must respond to CoPower mission to build people-power for a just and equitable transition to the climate crisis and fit into one of the following categories:
- First Nations Justice
- Just Transition
- New Economy
- The projects must outline how they can involve CoPower customer members through sharing updates, key moments / events, and collective actions. CoPower has 4,000 customer members across Australia (excluding WA, NT and West and North QLD).
- CoPower customer members will vote to determine which impact campaigns get funded. The voting will take place on the online ElectionBuddy platform. The project information that will show on the voting form will be: Organization name, project name, amount being requested, project description, and a link to a website or social media site. Your project will achieve a higher vote if the project name and project description provide a great outline of your project.
