Results of 2nd vote: Democratic Budget 2024-25

We are excited to announce the results of our second and final vote for the democratic budget 2024-25.  It was amazing to see 785 customer members cast their ballots.  There was an inspiring range of campaigns presented and very difficult choices were made. We thank all of those that put forward proposals and for campaigns we are unable to fund we hope to provide other forms of solidarity where we can.

$42,500 Impact Campaign Fund.

• $10,000 to Union Aid Abroad – APHEDA’s Solar power for women’s cooperative in Palestine
• $10,000 to Seed Indigenous Youth Climate Network’s Grassroot Gathering
• $10,000 to Earthworker Energy Manufacturing Cooperative’s Energy efficient hot water for Aboriginal Housing Victoria
• $3,500 to the Renters and Housing Union’s (RAHU) Fight for the Future
• $9,000 to CoPower’s Community Owned Renewable Energy Fund

$21,000 on Member Benefits.

• $7,000 to an additional $770 off Earthworker-Reclaim heat pump hot water systems
• $7,000 to 50% off Earthworker Smart Energy Cooperative’s Home Thermal Assessments
• $7,000 to $350-off home draught proofing
