We are excited to launch the pilot of a Daytime Saver Plan!
Our Daytime Saver pilot is currently available throughout SA and in Vic within three electricity distribution networks: CitiPower (Melbourne city area) United Energy (from Melbourne CBD south across the Mornington Peninsula) and Powercor (the Western half of the state of Victoria) as shown in the map below.
How does it work? During the day, cheap, clean and reliable solar energy is generated and floods the electricity grid. By setting the time for the cheaper electricity rate during the daylight hours, CoPower is able to take advantage of the lower price of electricity at that time, and pass the savings directly to our customer members who sign up for Daytime Saver pilot .
The Daytime Saver pilot gives households a super low rate between 10am and 3pm every day. It lets you benefit from the power of the sun without having to put solar panels on your roof. It’s a great plan for those who can use energy during the day. It lets renters and others take advantage of the renewable energy transition!
The Daytime Saver Plan is available to all households in South Australia with a smart meter and gives you a usage rate of 14.4 c/kwh between 10am and 3pm each day.
In Victoria the Daytime Saver Plan is available to households in the following networks: Citipower, Powercor and United Energy. It gives you a rate of just 8.5c/kwh between 10am and 3pm.

If the pilot works, we’re hoping we can make it available to more and more members, so that more and more people can benefit from the transition.
