We are working on innovative ways to reduce costs, energy use and carbon emissions from our customer member’s homes. Following advice from customer members through our Energy Efficiency Action Group, in 2024 we commenced work with Earthworker Smart Energy Cooperative and Analytical Engines to scope opportunities on how best we can support customer members in this space.
We’ve completed the anonymised analysis of customer member smart meter data in Victoria. We’ve found customer members having a solar system installed that may not be working correctly or a hot water systems using lots of energy on a controlled load where it appears to be cheaper for them to run it during daylight hours.
